Extra Tips:
Filtering communications from unknown senders is another method for avoiding Spam and other unwanted correspondence.
To do this, select the Messages option from the Settings menu. Click the toggle next to Filter Unknown Senders to turn it on.
Unknown sender notifications will be disabled and their messages will be moved to a separate list.
Messages from people who aren’t already in your s list are likely spam and should be reported.
Simply open the message and hit the junk button. To confirm, select Delete and Report Junk from the pop-up menu. The message and information will be sent to Apple.
Your phone’s copy of the message will be erased as well. However, you will still get communications from that person in the future. You should still add it to your Blocked list using one of the following methods.
